Canadian Agricultural
Outlook on Canadian Agriculture
Apr 05, 2012
Len Penner, President of Cargill Limited, shares his views on Canadian agriculture and what the industry needs to do to remain successful. Key Points • Increased global food consumption, driven by a growing population with growing wealth, is making agriculture an exciting industry to be in. • Canadian agriculture is dependent on the rest of the world's demand for its products. Delivering safe, high-quality products is a key to its continued success. • Record commodity prices also create significant volatility -- small changes in supply and demand factors can cause major swings in commodity prices. • The future success of Canadian agriculture will depend on the industry's ability to adapt to change.
2011 Canadian Agricultural Hall of Fame Inductees: Frank Stenger
Nov 07, 2011
Frank's work in dairy breed improvement combined with his marketing efforts helped open the international marketplace for Canadian livestock genetics. Even today, Frank is influencing others to turn to Canada for their genetics needs. Frank's life story is a classic example of what's possible in Canadian agriculture with hard work, persistence and smart decision-making. Every year, the Canadian Agricultural Hall of Fame honours individuals who have dedicated their lives to agriculture. The class of 2011 was inducted on November 6 at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair in Toronto.
FCC Economic Spotlight: Fall 2011
Feb 28, 2012
FCC Senior Economist JP Gervais takes a look at current global economic trends and how they impact Canadian agriculture. Key Points • Gross domestic product (GDP) measures the value of goods and services produced in the economy. A country's increase in GDP generally implies an increase in income -- one of the major drivers of food demand. • Inflation seems to be slowing due to the uncertainty in the economy. It's likely that the Bank of Canada will wait until late 2012 before raising interest rates and the US Federal Reserve may maintain record-low interest rates until mid-2013. • Long-term, we can expect a dollar slightly above parity if the growth in emerging markets driving demand for our commodities continues. • Uncertainty in the world economy and tight supply prospects for many agricultural commodities imply a volatile environment for businesses, but long-term prospects are still positive • While US recovery is slow, forecast for growth in emerging countries should translate into continued demand for Canadian agricultural products.

READ THIS: Canadian Cattle Rancher Werner Bock Discusses Agricultural/Ecological Terrorism perpetrated by mindless minions of the Military - Industrial complex/Mega Farming Mafia. The collusion of treasonous globalist governmental officials is blatantly obvious demonstrating once again that the systems, agencies and administrations that are supposed to protect us are weaponised against us. This is another part of the covert global domination & population reduction agenda. If you aren't familiar, read Agenda 2, Article 200 and read any of the many statements made by globalist front men Henry Kissinger, Zbignew Brezinski, David Rockefeller, Maurice Strong, etc Werner has been gassed, attacked with directed energy and had the best of his cattle mutilated by the local military - industrial hillbilly clique for decades without any help from the authorities. He has tried to get help from politicians, local/federal law enforcement agencies, the Humane Society, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency etc. to protect his cattle in New Brunswick, Canada for decades with no luck. Despite Werner's frequent freedom/Truth radio show appearances they continue to attack him and his animals with impunity and he continues to lose the best of his animals and any potential revenue/profit from his farm.
